Sin duda una novela finalista del premio Pulitzer. Me encantó leer la vida de tres generaciones de una misma familia, entender cómo eran tan diferentes y sus razones me hizo mucho pensar en mi propia familia y como nuestras experiencias pueden cambiar los ideales y el carácter. Además la obra mantiene un margen histórico tan interesante que una vez le agarré el ritmo no pude dejarla. Me encantó y la súper recomiendo para todos aquellos que tengan intereses históricos y contextos sociales y que invitan a la reflexión de cómo se creó Estados Unidos de Norteamérica. Personalmente me es difícil ver a los mexicanos a través de los ojos de un gringo pero no todos los personajes mexicanos son como la mayoría de los gringos ven, así que me gustó esta dualidad. También me mantengo al margen de opinar con respecto a los mexicanos.
