Poe awakes in a lab. He is a droid created at Psi-Gen. His purpose: abduct and replace humans with identical droids. Poe's first mission: infiltrate a school and replace the human named Mr. Jackson with a look-alike droid named Xavier-Eight. During his mission Poe learns a lot about himself and the human mind. After he returns to the school with Xavier-Eight, the android suffers a dangerous malfunction. Can Poe fix it and maintain his cover as a boy? Even if he succeeds, Poe realizes that there is much more at stake: it’s just too easy for Psi-Gen to erase a droid's mind, and Poe might be next.
