In 1967 Clyde Thomas a country boy from Tennessee returns from Vietnam only to be told that he needs to go fetch his 15 ear old sister who they believe met a hippy and ran off to that Got Damn Haight Ashbury in California. Clyde dosen't have the slightest idea of what awaits for him when he arrives in San Francisco during a once in a hundred years event. Clyde meets a prety hippy girl from Oregon and quickly falls in love and into trouble at his quest to find his little sister. The author was in fact a 15 year old run-a-way who lived that summer in the very place where this story takes place.
