Esta novela histórico- romántica transcurre en la India en los años de la sublevación de los autóctonos contra la dominación británica. Él, matemático en Cambridge, va a buscar a su ex- esposa que ejerce de doctora en una aldea. Pese al excelente planteamiento, la autora no se luce como debiera. Novela, ni tan histórica, ni tan romántica. La portada no sé que tiene que ver (esos músculos no se los imagino yo a un matemático del siglo XIX) Pese a todo fue premio RITA 2010 a mejor romance histórico en Estados Unidos.
