¡Ay! Me quedé hasta las 5am leyendo porque no podía dejar de leerlo. Si bien el protagonista Murdher es un personaje nuevo, ya que solo había sido mencionado a lo largo de la saga como el único hermano desterrado por locura, encaja muy bien con el resto de la tribu. Su historia de amor con la científica Sarah es un poco errática pero emocionante. Me parece que ambos tienen mucho que aportar en el desarrollo de futuras novelas. La historia secundaria de John Mathew al borde de la muerte también es buena. Con la desaparición de las sombras malas como mayor amenaza de la raza, no sé como se mantendrá la tensión y la función de los guerreros, pues la guerra contra los lessers está casi ganada. Pero Ward siempre tiene ases bajo la manga.
