Me tardé dos meses en leer este libro. No lo considero una lectura aburrida, la historia es muy bonita, pero creo que no es para todo el mundo. La letra de mi edición en particular, era demasiado pequeña y además estaba en inglés. Y me refiero a un inglés británico del siglo XX, convertido en un inglés tipo siglo XVI, bastante complejo. En ocasiones me perdía y me costaba trabajo entender en que punto de la historia me encontraba. En cuánto a los personajes, Sam es demasiado precavido y en su afán de querer procurar a Frodo, a veces me desesperaba. Los consejos de Gandalf son excelentes y ahora entiendo por que muchas personas lo relacionaban con Albus Dumbledore. Por parte de los elfos, mi favorito es Legolas, noté que, en general, los elfos pueden ser un poco reservados, misteriosos y luchar por un interés propio, pero creo que Legolas rompía con eso sin dejar de ser serio. Gollum es un personaje que siempre me ha hecho sentir tristeza, a qué grado de auto-destrucción se puede llegar gracias a la obsesión?..
