Conocí esta novela por una telenovela homónima, protagonizada por Kate del Castillo, Eduardo Palomo y René Strickler, sin olvidar a Helena Rojo. Quedé tan maravillada que busque la novela, debo reconocer que la telenovela me atrapó el corazón por toda la filosofía y las reflexiones sociales de las que habla, pero la novela literaria es altamente recomendable. Algo triste es que esta obra de arte literaria a quedado eclipsada por "La cabaña del Tío Tom", siendo que ambas se escribieron para evidenciar una injusticia, una para los esclavos negros y la otra para los indios norteamericanos. Como recomendación también aconsejo que vean la telenovela "Ramona" para que puedan percibir la sublimidad de la obra adaptada por contemporáneos.
