With money being no object and the latest technology at his fingertips, Jonathan Grave, alias the Scorpion, and his "associates" have risen to the top of the "retrieval" business. A freelance specialist in covert rescues that quietly reunite kidnap victims with their families and resolve ticklish hostage situations, Jonathan works for clients in and out of the government. Usually he flies so far beneath the radar that no one realizes he has been involved in a rescue, but that isn't the case in this adventure. Although he successfully snatches a college student from his abductors, three of the bad guys are killed in the process.
